Gozo Golf Caddy User Manual
Learn how to unfold, operate, control, charge, clean, maintain, and store your Gozo golf caddy. This guide also covers the remote control, Gozo App connection, battery care, and accessory installation.
How to Unfold and Set Up Your Caddy
Follow these steps to unfold and set up your Gozo golf caddy safely before use.

Place the caddy on the ground. Put the folded golf caddy on a flat, stable surface with enough space to unfold it.
Note: Lift the folded caddy by holding the front bumper and rear ends.

Release the Lock Pin. Pull the lock pin outward, then rotate it 90° to the unlocked position.

Unfold the Main Frame. Hold the front bumper and lift the lower arm until the frame is fully extended and the rear wheels are fully extended.
Note: If the caddy is difficult to unfold, make sure the lock pin is fully unlocked.

Adjust the Handle Height. Open the height-adjustment latch. Lift the upper arm until the handle reaches the desired height, then close the latch.
Important: If the height-adjustment joint is too loose or too tight, hold the retaining knob on the left side, open the height-adjustment latch on the right side, and turn the latch clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen.

[Optional] Secure the Lock Pin. Rotate the lock pin 90° back to the locked position.
Note: On certain production batches, the lock pin cannot be locked while the caddy is unfolded.

Attach the Golf Bag. Place the bottom of the golf bag against the front bumper. Lay the bag onto the bag holders, then secure it with the upper and lower straps.

Turn On the Caddy. Press and hold the multi-function knob until the display turns on. The caddy will start in locked mode and is ready for use.
Safety Note: Always unfold the golf caddy on a flat, stable surface to avoid injury or damage.
Note: The lock pin does not need to be locked while the caddy is in use. You may also lock it after the caddy is fully folded to secure the frame; If you lock it, be sure to unlock it before unfolding the cart again.

How to Fold Your Caddy after the Game
After your round, fold the caddy carefully before transport or storage.

Place the caddy on a stable surface. Make sure the caddy is on a flat, stable surface.
Note: Lift the folded caddy by holding the front bumper and rear ends.

Power Off the Caddy. Press and hold the multi-function knob until the display turns off.

Remove the Battery and Accessories. Remove the golf bag, battery, umbrella, phone holder and any other attached accessories.
Note: Remove the phone holder to help prevent damage during transport.

Release the Lock Pin. Pull the lock pin outward, then rotate it 90° to the unlocked position.
Note: We recommend always keeping the lock pin in the unlocked position. Do not place your hands on the rear wheel support arm to avoid injuries.

Fold the Main Frame. Hold the front bumper and pull the handle assembly toward the front bumper. The rear wheels should retract inward at the same time.
Note: If the caddy is difficult to fold, make sure the lock pin is fully unlocked. Do not push the handles downward or use excessive force.

Fold the Upper Arm. Open the height-adjustment latch, then gently fold the upper arm downward.

Secure the Folded Caddy. Once the caddy is fully folded, close the height-adjustment latch.

[Optional] Secure the Lock Pin. Rotate the lock pin 90° back to the locked position.
Note: The lock pin does not need to be locked while the caddy is in use. You may also lock it after the caddy is fully folded to secure the frame; If locked, be sure to unlock it before unfolding the cart again.
Note: If the caddy cannot be folded, stand it upright with the front bumper resting on the ground, then gently press both rear wheels inward and downward at the same time.

How to Use the Multi-Function Knob
The multi-function knob is the round button below the status monitor. It controls several key functions.
Lock / Unlock
When the caddy is powered on, press once to unlock it. Press it again to lock the caddy.
Mode Switch
Press the knob twice quickly to turn Push-Assist Mode on or off. The Push-Assist Mode icon lights up when active.
Speed Adjustment
In Push-Assist Mode, rotate the knob counterclockwise to increase assist speed, or clockwise to decrease it.
Important: The caddy will automatically power off after approximately 3 minutes if no mode is activated and the caddy is unlocked.
Note: You can still push the caddy manually when the power is off.
Note: You can unlock the caddy using the multi-function knob, remote control or Gozo App.
How to Read the Status Monitor
When the caddy is powered on, the status monitor displays key caddy information.
- Mode: Shows the current mode — Auto-Follow, Remote Control, or Push-Assist Mode.
- Speed: Displays the current speed level.
- Mileage: Shows the distance traveled.
- Bluetooth Icon: Indicates the caddy is searching for or connected to your phone.
- Warning: Displays alerts or system warnings.
- Lock: The caddy is locked and cannot move. Unlock it using the remote control or multi-function knob.
- Battery Level: Displays the remaining battery charge.
Note: Only push the caddy manually when Push-Assist Mode is active or the caddy is unlocked.
How to Use the Remote Control
The remote control allows you to lock, unlock, steer, and switch driving modes.
Power Button
Press and hold to turn the remote on or off. When the remote turns on, the indicator light turns blue and the remote vibrates once. The indicator light turns off when the remote is powered off. When the caddy is turned off, the paired remote control also turns off.
Lock Button
When the caddy is powered on, press the lock button to lock or unlock it. When the caddy is locked, a lock icon appears on the display, and the caddy stops and does not respond until unlocked. Press the Lock button to stop the caddy in an emergency. Do not press it again until it is safe to resume operation.
Steering Joystick
When the caddy is unlocked, move the joystick to steer it. The caddy will automatically switch to Remote Control Mode, the Remote icon will appear on the display, and the status indicator on the remote will turn yellow. When the joystick returns to center, the caddy will stop.
Charging Notes
The remote has a rechargeable lithium battery. Charge it only with the provided cable and charger. The power button pulses red while charging and turns off when the remote is fully charged. The remote fully charges in approximately 2–3 hours and typically lasts for 2–3 rounds per charge. Gozo recommends charging the remote approximately every other round.
Note: You can check the remote's remaining battery level in the Gozo App under Details > Remote control. The indicator light turns off when the remote is powered off.
Note: When both the physical remote and the Gozo App are connected, commands from the physical remote take priority over app-control commands.
Important: When parking on a slope, keep the caddy powered on and set it in Locked Mode so the electric braking system remains active. Do not leave the caddy unattended on a slope.
How to Enter Cruise Mode
When the caddy is unlocked and the remote is on, push the steering joystick upward twice to enter Cruise Mode. The remote icon will illuminate on the caddy’s display, and the status indicator on the remote will turn yellow. Use the joystick to steer while in Cruise Mode.

The caddy will move at the preset Level 1 Speed. The maximum speed for level 1 is 4 km/h.

Push the joystick upward once to increase the speed to preset level 2 (Maximum speed: 6 km/h).

Push the joystick upward again to increase the speed to preset level 3 (Maximum speed: 7 km/h).

Push the joystick forward again to decrease the speed to preset level 1.

Push the joystick fully downward once to exit Cruise Mode. The caddy will stop.
Note: Cruise speed is adjustable in the Gozo App.
How to Enter and Exit Cruise Mode
How to Enter Auto-Follow Mode
Use the remote control to activate Auto-Follow Mode when the caddy is ready and the area is clear.
Activate Auto-Follow

Press the puppy-icon button once to activate Auto-Follow Mode. The puppy icon will illuminate on the caddy’s display, and the status indicator on the remote will turn green.

Hold the remote, place it in your back pocket, or attach it to the back of your belt using the provided clip.

Keep the signal path between the remote and the caddy clear, as blocking it with your body may interfere with the Auto-Follow signal and affect the caddy’s ability to follow reliably.

Begin walking, and the caddy will follow behind you. When you stop, the caddy will also stop.
Important: If you prefer to carry the remote in a pocket rather than attach it to your belt using the provided clip, we recommend placing it in a back pocket to help maintain an unobstructed signal path.
Note: If the signal is blocked or lost, the remote will vibrate. A low remote battery can also cause weak or unstable signal transmission.
Exit Auto-Follow

Press the puppy-icon button again to exit Auto-Follow Mode. The status indicator on the remote will turn blue. The caddy will remain unlocked, with no operating mode selected. If no further operation is detected, the caddy will automatically power off after approximately 3 minutes.

Alternatively, press the Lock button to exit Auto-Follow Mode and lock the caddy. The status indicator on the remote will turn red. You must unlock the caddy before Auto-Follow Mode can be activated again.

Alternatively, move the joystick in any direction to exit Auto-Follow Mode and switch to Remote Control Mode. The status indicator on the remote will turn yellow, and the caddy will respond to joystick control.
How to Use Your Phone to Control the Caddy
Click the button below to install the Gozo App on your iPhone or Android device before connecting your phone to the caddy.
Connect the App to the Caddy

Visit the Gozo website to download the Gozo App.

Enable Bluetooth on your phone.

Press and hold the multi-function knob for 2 seconds to turn on the caddy.

Open the app. The app will automatically search for nearby devices.

Select your caddy from the device list to connect.

Once connected, tap the Remote Control button, then slide the control dot to move the caddy.
Note: If no device is found, make sure the caddy is powered on and Bluetooth is enabled. Then tap Re-Searching to search again.
Important: When the app is connected, the remote control can also operate the caddy.
Adjust Caddy Settings

Connect your phone to the caddy and open the app’s main screen.

Tap the Settings icon located in the bottom-right corner.

On the Settings page, you can adjust:
- Cycling Sensitivity: Adjust how quickly the caddy responds to steering input. A higher setting makes the caddy respond more quickly to steering input.
- Follow Distance: Set the preferred distance in Auto-Follow Mode. The default distance is 1.5 m.
- Cruise Control: Set the constant cruising speed levels for Cruise Mode.
Remote Control Re-Pairing
The remote control is pre-paired with the golf caddy. You can re-pair it through the Gozo App if needed.

Connect your phone to the caddy and open the main interface in the Gozo App.

Tap the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner.

Tap Remote Control Pairing. Your phone will vibrate, the caddy speed display will show “6.1,” and the lock icon on the caddy will appear, indicating pairing mode.

Make sure the remote is powered off.

Press and hold the Auto-Follow Mode button and the Lock button at the same time.

While holding both buttons, press and hold the Power button to turn on the remote.

Once pairing is complete, the remote control will vibrate, the speed display on the caddy will show “0.0”, and the lock icon on the caddy will disappear.

Release the buttons. The remote control is now ready for use.
Note: Re-pairing will fail if the remote control is turned on before pressing and holding the Auto-Follow Mode and Lock buttons. If this happens, turn off the remote control and repeat the pairing steps.
How to Upgrade the Firmware
Firmware upgrade codes may be released from time to time below. To upgrade the caddy firmware:

Turn on the caddy and make sure the battery has sufficient charge.

Connect the caddy to the Gozo App.

Tap Details at the bottom-left of the app.

Scroll to the bottom and select Forced Firmware Upgrade.

Enter the firmware upgrade code, then tap Confirm.

Wait for the upgrade to complete. Do not turn off the caddy, remove the battery, disconnect the app, or close the app during the upgrade.

Once the upgrade is complete, restart the caddy and test its operation in a safe, open area.
Note: The firmware upgrade code is case-sensitive.
Important: If the firmware upgrade fails, restart the app and try again.

Note: For golf caddies ordered on or after October 1, 2026, the applicable updates have already been completed before shipment.
How to Install or Remove the Battery
Use the battery handle to remove or install the battery safely.
Removal
Pull the battery handle upward to lift and remove the battery from the caddy.
Installation
Lift the battery handle, align the battery with the compartment, insert the end closest to the front bumper first, and lower it fully into place. Make sure the battery is correctly seated before use.
Charging
Remove the battery from the caddy before charging. Only use the supplied Gozo charger. Open the dust cover and plug the charger into the charging port. The charger light is red while charging and turns green when fully charged. A full charge typically takes approximately 3–4 hours.
Water Resistance
The battery is splash-resistant, but it should not be exposed to strong water spray, heavy rain, or immersion in water.
Important: The battery charger may get warm during charging. Stop charging if the battery becomes unusually hot, swollen, or produces an unusual odor.
Note: If the battery runs out while you are playing, you can still push the golf caddy manually.
How to Clean and Maintain the Caddy
Proper cleaning and storage help protect the caddy and extend its service life.
- Wipe the caddy with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt or stains.
- Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive or chemical cleaners.
- Do not use a water hose or power washer, as this may damage electrical components.
- Turn off the caddy when not in use.
- Store the caddy and battery in a cool, dry indoor location. Recharge every 90 days during long-term storage.
- Storage outside recommended conditions may damage components and shorten the caddy’s lifespan.
Warning: Improper cleaning or storage may damage the caddy and shorten its service life.
How to Clean and Maintain the Battery
- Remove the battery when not in use.
- Use only manufacturer-certified battery packs.
- tore in a cool, dry place. Recharge every 90 days during long-term storage.
- Keep protective covers on charging connectors when not in use.
- Handle the battery carefully during installation and removal to avoid damage.
- Do not open, modify, short-circuit, bypass the battery’s protective circuitry, or connect it to an incompatible device or charger.
- Keep the battery dry and never immerse it in water.
How to Install the Accessories
Install the included accessories carefully and make sure each attachment is secure before use.
Bottle Holder
- Place the round opening of the bottle holder bracket over the screw.
- Slide the bracket downward until it snaps into place. Press firmly until the bracket is seated. Do not force it if the parts are misaligned.
Note: The bottle holder bracket is flexible and can be gently opened to fit different bottle sizes.
Umbrella Holder

Locate the preinstalled bracket on the upper arm of the caddy. Align the umbrella holder's screw with the mounting hole on the upper arm's base.

Adjust the umbrella holder, tightening the bottom knob to fix the Y-axis angle.

Loosen the middle knob to adjust the X-axis angle of the umbrella holder, and tighten the middle knob to lock the X-axis angle.

Insert the umbrella handle into the hole and adjust the top knob to secure the umbrella.
Phone Holder

Locate the screw holes on both sides of the display.

Install the black screw from the phone holder base into the screw hole on either side of the display.

Attach the phone clip to the screw at the top.

Loosen the angle adjustment knob and adjust the phone clip to your preferred angle.
5
Tighten the angle adjustment knob to secure the phone clip in place.
6
To remove the phone holder, remove the phone first, then hold the black screw at the base and unscrew the holder.
Note: We recommend removing the phone holder before folding the caddy to prevent damage during transport.
