Gozo Golf Caddy User Manual

Learn how to unfold, operate, control, charge, clean, maintain, and store your Gozo golf caddy. This guide also covers the remote control, Gozo App connection, battery care, and accessory installation.

How to Unfold and Set Up Your Caddy

Follow these steps to unfold and set up your Gozo golf caddy safely before use.

Place the caddy on the ground. Put the folded golf caddy on a flat, stable surface with enough space to unfold it.

Release the Lock Pin. Pull the lock pin outward, then rotate it 90° to the unlocked position.

Unfold the Main Frame. Hold the front bumper and lift the lower arm until the frame is fully extended and the rear wheels are fully extended.

Note: If the caddy is difficult to unfold, make sure the lock pin is fully unlocked.

Adjust the Handle Height. Open the height-adjustment latch. Lift the upper arm until the handle reaches the desired height, then close the latch.

Note: If the height-adjustment joint feels loose, turn the knob on the left side clockwise to tighten it.

Secure the Lock Pin. Rotate the lock pin 90° back to the locked position.

Note: If the pin does not lock properly, make sure the rear wheels are fully extended.

Attach the Golf Bag. Place the bottom of the golf bag against the front bumper. Lay the bag onto the bag holders, then secure it with the upper and lower straps.

Power On the Caddy. Press and hold the multi-function knob until the display turns on. The caddy will start in locked mode and is ready for use.

Safety Note: Always unfold the golf caddy on a flat, stable surface to avoid injury or damage.

How to Fold Your Caddy after the Game

After your round, fold the caddy carefully before transport or storage.

Place the caddy on a stable surface. Make sure the caddy is on a flat, stable surface.

Power Off the Caddy. Press and hold the multi-function knob until the display turns off.

Remove the Battery and Accessories. Remove the golf bag, battery, umbrella, and any other attached accessories.

Note: We recommend removing the battery before folding the caddy.

Release the Lock Pin. Pull the lock pin outward, then rotate it 90° to the unlocked position.

Fold the Main Frame. Hold the front bumper and pull the handle assembly toward the front bumper. The rear wheels should retract inward at the same time.

Note: If the caddy is difficult to fold, make sure the lock pin is fully unlocked. Do not push the handles downward or use excessive force.

Fold the Upper Arm. Open the height-adjustment latch, then gently fold the upper arm downward.

Secure the Folded Caddy. Once the caddy is fully folded, close the height-adjustment latch. Rotate the lock pin 90° back to the locked position. Make sure the frame is fully locked before storage.

Note: If the lock pin does not lock properly, make sure the rear wheels are fully retracted.

How to Use the Multi-Function Knob

The multi-function knob is the round button below the status monitor. It controls several key functions.

Power On / Off

Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn the caddy on or off.

Lock / Unlock

When the caddy is powered on, press once to unlock it. Press it again to lock the caddy.

Mode Switch

Press the knob twice quickly to turn Push-Assist Mode on or off. The Push Mode icon lights up when active.

Speed Adjustment

In Push-Assist Mode, rotate the knob counterclockwise to increase assist speed, or clockwise to decrease it.

Note: The caddy will automatically power off after 3 minutes if no mode is activated and the caddy is unlocked.

Note: You can still push the caddy manually when the power is off.

How to Read the Status Monitor

When the caddy is powered on, the status monitor displays key caddy information.

  • Mode: Shows the current mode — Auto-Follow, Remote Control, or Push Mode.
  • Speed: Displays the current speed level.
  • Mileage: Shows the distance traveled.
  • Bluetooth Icon: Indicates the caddy is searching for or connected to your phone.
  • Warning: Displays alerts or system warnings.
  • Lock: The caddy is locked and cannot move. Unlock it using the remote control or multi-function knob.
  • Battery Level: Displays the remaining battery charge.

How to Use the Remote Control

The remote control allows you to lock, unlock, steer, and switch driving modes.

Power Button

Press and hold to turn the remote on or off. When the remote turns on, the indicator light turns blue and the remote vibrates once.

Lock Button

When the caddy is powered on, press the lock button to lock or unlock it.

Steering Joystick

When the caddy is unlocked, move the joystick to steer it. The caddy will automatically switch to Remote Control Mode.

Charging Notes

The remote has a rechargeable lithium battery. Charge it only with the provided cable and charger. The power button button pulses red while charging and turns green when the remote is fully charged.

Note: When both the physical remote and the Gozo App are connected, commands from the physical remote take priority over app-control commands. The indicator light turns off when the remote is powered off. The light turns red when the battery is low and needs charging.

Important: When parking on a slope, keep the caddy powered on and set it in Locked Mode so the electric braking system remains active. Do not leave the caddy unattended on a slope.

How to Enter Cruise Control Mode

When the caddy is unlocked and the remote is on, push the steering joystick upward twice to enter Cruise Control.

  • The caddy will move at a preset speed. The default speed is 4 km/h.
  • Push the joystick upward once to increase to preset Speed 2.
  • Push the joystick upward again to increase to preset Speed 3.
  • Use the joystick to steer while the caddy maintains a constant speed.
  • Push the joystick fully downward once to exit Cruise Mode. The caddy will stop.

Note: Cruise speed is adjustable in the Gozo App.

How to Enter Auto-Follow Mode

Use the remote control to activate Auto-Follow Mode when the caddy is ready and the area is clear.

Press the Auto-Follow Mode (Puppy) button once. The puppy icon will light up on the caddy's display, and the status indicator on the remote will turn green. When you begin walking, the caddy will follow behind you. When you stop, the caddy will stop as well. Press the Puppy button again to exit Cruise Mode.

Important: Keep the signal path between the remote and the caddy clear of people and other obstructions. Point the top of the remote toward the caddy.

Connect the App to the Caddy

Visit the Gozo website to download the Gozo App.

Enable Bluetooth on your phone.

Press and hold the multi-function knob for 2 seconds to turn on the caddy.

Open the app. The app will automatically search for nearby devices.

Select your caddy from the device list to connect.

Once connected, tap the Remote Control button, then slide the control dot to move the caddy.

Note: If no device is found, make sure the caddy is powered on and Bluetooth is enabled. Then tap Re-Searching to search again.

Important: When the app is connected, the remote control can also operate the caddy.

Adjust Caddy Settings

Connect your phone to the caddy and open the app’s main screen.

Tap the Settings icon located in the bottom-right corner.

On the Settings page, you can adjust:

  • Cycling Sensitivity: Adjust how quickly the caddy responds to steering input. A higher setting makes the caddy respond more quickly to steering input.
  • Follow Distance: Set the preferred distance in Auto-Follow Mode. The default distance is 1.5 m.
  • Cruise Control: Set the constant cruising speed levels for Cruise Mode. The default levels are 4 km/h, 6 km/h, and 7 km/h.

Remote Control Re-Pairing

The remote control is pre-paired with the golf caddy. You can re-pair it through the Gozo App if needed.

Connect your phone to the caddy and open the main interface in the Gozo App.

Tap the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner.

Tap Remote Control Pairing. Your phone will vibrate, the caddy speed display will show “6.1,” and the lock icon on the caddy will appear, indicating pairing mode.

Make sure the remote is powered off.

Press and hold the Auto-Follow Mode button and the Lock button at the same time.

While holding both buttons, press and hold the Power button to turn on the remote.

Once pairing is successful, the remote control will vibrate, the speed display on the caddy will show “0.0,” and the lock icon on the caddy will turn off.

How to Install or Remove the Battery

Use the battery handle to remove or install the battery safely.

Removal

Pull the battery handle upward to lift and remove the battery from the caddy.

Installation

Lift the battery handle, align the battery with the compartment, insert the far end first, and lower it fully into place.

Charging

Only use the included Gozo charger. Open the dust cover and plug the charger into the charging port. The charger light is red while charging and turns green when fully charged. A full charge typically takes approximately 6–8 hours. Close the dust cover after charging.

Water Resistance

The battery is splash-resistant, but it should not be exposed to strong water spray, heavy rain, or immersion in water.

How to Clean and Maintain the Caddy

Proper cleaning and storage help protect the caddy and extend its service life.

  • Wipe the caddy with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt or stains.
  • Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive or chemical cleaners.
  • Do not use a water hose or power washer, as this may damage electrical components.
  • Turn off the caddy when not in use.
  • Store the caddy and battery in a cool, dry indoor location.
  • Storage outside recommended conditions may damage components and shorten the caddy’s lifespan.

Warning: Improper cleaning or storage may damage the caddy and shorten its service life.

How to Clean and Maintain the Battery

  • Remove the battery when not in use.
  • Use only manufacturer-certified battery packs.
  • Store in a cool, dry place with humidity below 65%. Recharge every 60 days during long-term storage.
  • Keep protective covers on charging connectors when not in use.
  • Handle the battery carefully during installation and removal to avoid damage.
  • Do not open, modify, short-circuit, bypass the battery’s protective circuitry, or connect it to an incompatible device or charger.
  • Keep the battery dry and never immerse it in water.

How to Install the Accessories

Install the included accessories carefully and make sure each attachment is secure before use.

Bottle Holder

  • Place the round opening of the bottle holder bracket over the screw.
  • Slide the bracket downward until it snaps into place. Press firmly until the bracket is seated. Do not force it if the parts are misaligned.

Note: The bottle holder bracket is flexible and can be gently opened to fit different bottle sizes.

Umbrella Holder

  • Locate the preinstalled bracket on the upper arm of the caddy.
  • Place the umbrella holder into the bracket.
  • Tighten the knob attached to the screw to secure it.
  • The larger knob adjusts the umbrella holder angle.
  • The smaller knob secures the umbrella in place.
