About Gozo

Gozo began as a hobby project by a lifelong golfer.

1

Where It Started

The company’s founder has played golf for more than 20 years in and around Mississauga, Ontario. For many years, he walked the course while carrying his own golf bag. Like many walking golfers, he enjoyed the pace and feel of walking, but also understood the physical effort that comes with carrying a full bag through an entire round.

He was not trying to build a complicated golf gadget. He simply wanted a practical, reliable way to walk the course without carrying the bag.

2

Tested Through Real Rounds

His regular golf buddies watched the project develop over time, from an experimental follow-me prototype into a more mature caddy used by walking golfers around the world.

The product was shaped through repeated real-course testing. Every new design, adjustment, and function has been personally tested by the founder on the golf course before being carried forward.

3

The Engineering Behind Gozo

Gozo’s engineering work is supported by the founder’s other line of business, which involves cobot design and automation solutions. That background brought practical robotics and automation experience into the development process, while keeping the focus on what matters during an actual round of golf.

4

The Goal Remains the Same

Gozo took shape over many rounds of golf, through the founder’s own on-course testing, repeated adjustments, and feedback from other walking golfers. At its core, the goal has stayed the same: help golfers walk the course hands-free, with greater ease.
